INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HYDROGEOLOGISTS

 

About IAH

The IAH is a truly international organisation for sciencientists and engineers woking i research, education, regulation, and consulting in hiydrogeology and related fields. International dissemination of scientific advances and practical techniques for improved planninig, management, and protection of groundwater resources is a primary IAH goal. IAH has more than 3,500 members in 120 countries and is one of the fastest growing international technical organisations. IAH membersship has doubled the past ten years.

IAH mission

- to promote growth in the knowledge of hydrogeological science and its application for the common good in relation to water and the environment.

 

- to promote understanding of issues relating to management of groundwater resources and to enhance the role of groundwater professionals.

 

Among the benefits of membership in IAH, members in Iah, members receive the bimonthly international groundwater publication Hydrogeology Journal and the IAH newsletter. Members also receive discounts on IAH books and havethe opportunity to participate in international co-operation through participation in technical commossions and the many IAH Congresses. The membership of IAH embraces professionals from many related disciplines. IAH collaborates with other international associations in water, earth science, and geo-engineering, and it participates in the international programmes of UNESCO, UNDP, WMO, AND fao.
